Game Day Guidelines
Referees are expected to arrive 15-20 minutes early to their match.
Referees will be in uniform. See referee dress code for more information.
Referees will have a whistle, stopwatch, cards, flags, and proper footwear.
Referees will check the field to make sure it is ready to be played on.
Referees will check the nets to make sure they are anchored and have no holes.
Referees will collect GDRs from both coaches and payment from the home coach
Referees will do an equipment check with the players and check the players and coaches in with the GDR
Referees and ARs will write down the score.
Referees will review the age group specific rules to ensure they are called correctly
U10 and Below 25 minutes halves
U12 and Below 30 minutes halves
U14 and below 35 minutes halves
U11 and below have no headers.
Referees have full authority over the field of play from warm-ups to post game. If parents are misbehaving the referee will ask the coach to address the situation.
Referees will be engaged with the match and be giving a good effort
Referees will be asked to consider feedback from mentors and strive to become a better referee.
